Our Story

Where history meets the hands that reclaim it

Three Forks was founded by Chris Kelley, a retired U.S. Navy SEAL with over 31 years of service, and Christian Knutzen, a retired U.S. Army Green Beret with over 26 years of service. Two veterans whose passion for history and exploration led them to uncover and preserve the world's most storied structures.

Their mission is to reclaim history with integrity, from the D-Day barns of Normandy to forgotten European workshops, leading teams worldwide in ethically recovering historic timber. Every piece is traced to its origin, handled with museum-grade care, and delivered with full chain-of-custody documentation.

Three Forks Wood Reclamation serves residential designers, architects, hospitality brands, and collectors seeking authenticated historic timber. From private sourcing journeys to spec-ready timber packages, each engagement is as singular as the material itself.

Our Core Values

What guides every reclamation

Integrity First

Every reclamation is conducted with full legal permissions, ethical deconstruction practices, and deep respect for the structures and communities we enter.

Authenticity Only

No replicas, ever. Each piece is traced to its origin with chain-of-custody documentation that verifies provenance from the source structure to your hands.

Environmental Stewardship

We recycle and reuse historic wood rather than sending it to landfill, and we actively empower the local craftsmen communities who help us do it.

Museum-Level Conservation

Every timber receives conservation-grade handling, stabilization, and preservation so its structural and historical integrity arrives intact at your project.

The Founders
