Our Story

Founded by Veterans, Driven by History

Three Forks Wood Reclamation was founded by Chris Kelley, a retired U.S. Navy SEAL with over 31 years of service, and Christian Knutzen, a retired U.S. Army Green Beret with over 26 years of service. Their shared reverence for history and the structures that shaped it became the foundation of a company unlike any other in the world of reclaimed timber.

From the D-Day barns of Normandy to forgotten European workshops, Chris and Christian lead teams worldwide in ethically recovering historic timber — each piece researched, documented, and conserved to museum-grade standards. Every lot is traced to its origin with full chain-of-custody documentation, because authenticity is not a feature here; it is the entire point.

No replicas. No approximations. Only singular, authenticated timbers reclaimed with legal permissions, respectful deconstruction, and a commitment to the craftsmen communities that surround each site. When a lot is spoken for, it is gone — curated scarcity by design, never by accident.
